From Play School to High School & Everything in Between.
DCC School is a safe, secure, faith-based environment that nurtures and develops children
into young men and women of God. As of 2023, we are happy to introduce our Playschool
which is an extension of our Kingdom Tots that will include babies from 3-24 months old. As
our children grow from Nursery to Primary School, they develop into God-fearing students
who are motivated to achieve academic excellence.
We are also pleased to utilize digital education measures through our Online High School.
Here, we offer learners from Grade 8-12 the opportunity to study from our school premises
using their own laptops with the aid of our passionate and committed staff of teachers. Our
online high school offers the Independent Examination Board (IEB) syllabus which is
regulated by the Department of Basic Education. The IEB NSC is an internationally
benchmarked qualification that is equivalent to the Cambridge AS level and provides Umalusi
accredited examinations in all subjects recognised in the National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Your child benefits from achieving an Independent Examination Board (IEB) metric
qualification that is recognised worldwide. Students access the Online School at our
campuses – Mayville and Hillcrest - under the supervision of a teacher who provides support,
assistance and structure for the learners. A full staff of experienced teachers will steward
their learning experience with hearts of care and a mindset of excellence.
From 3 months old to high school, we offer your child a school that is more like a family. They
are offered a range of sports like cricket, netball, soccer, athletics and a host of extracurricular
activities like chess, drama, dance and more! At DCCS, our children achieve
holistic growth in their faith and academics.

Online High School
Recent global events have redirected schools around the world towards teaching and learning online. Digital means of education have never been more utilised and we are pleased to be a part of this forward-thinking, safe and effective schooling measure with both the IEB and CAPS option on offer.
The IEB uses the South African National Curriculum which is regulated by the Department of Basic Education. The IEB NSC is an internationally benchmarked qualification and is equivalent to Cambridge AS level. The IEB’s mandate is to ensure that learners in South Africa become a valuable human resource, equipped with skills and knowledge to allow South Africa to compete and to contribute towards the global economy. The IEB NSC is a South African qualification that is equivalent to the UK AS level and provides Umalusi accredited examinations in all subjects recognised in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) for all IEB Registered school. Online school teachers conduct all assessments and your child benefits from achieving an Independent Examination Board (IEB) metric qualification that is recognised worldwide.
Alternatively, as of 2022, Durban Christian Centre School will be collaborating with the University of Cape Town’s Online High School to provide your child with an innovative means of learning, by utilising technology whilst harnessing their ability to interact and engage in a classroom, with the aid of a teacher. As a faith-based school, we believe in the power of togetherness, therefore, we would love your child to experience the best of both worlds - the freedom of learning online with the benefits of a school community. Alongside the CAPS syllabus that students will follow, we are offering students a school-based package that will greatly contribute to their holistic growth as followers of Jesus Christ and successful academics with a promising future.
